Al-Kendi Hotel

The Al Kendi Hotel is 2 blocks from Sharia Omar al-Mukhtar, a main road which leads onto Green Square (approximately a 20 minute walk). This hotel has 45 rooms positioned over 9 floors. The restaurant (top floor) has good views over the city, this was especially convenient when fireworks are used to celebrate special occasions. A seating area with soft drinks counter (alcohol is illegal in Libya) is situated just behind reception where a continental style buffet breakfast is served.

Amenities included a TV (only Arabic stations), mini bar/fridge and air conditioning. The bathroom has a full size bath and shower – please be aware that all hotels bathrooms in Libya seem to have extremely hot (almost boiling) water.
